CULT.ROUTE aims to strenghten cultural cooperation through the extension of the thematic route of castles that promotes the joint cultural heritage of the cross-border area, by extending the thematic route of castles already developed within the project SMAR.T.OURISM to include two new border regions within the programme area.
Impact Pathway
The project foresees the joint cooperation of three border regions within the programme area: Satu Mare, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg and Ivano-Frankivsk. The lead applicant has built in the previous project SMAR.T.OURISM a strong cooperation relation with cultural institutions in Satu Mare area and in Zakarpattya. The new project continues this cooperation and partnership by including two new border areas.

Scalable/replicable model
The project plans to develop the existing thematic route of castles through the use of new technologies in order to make castles more attractive to visitors> intelligent benches and infokiosks. The application running on the infokiosks already existing can be extended to include further castles and mansions in the border regions.
