Cooperating for safeguarding biodiversity and ensuring viable human-wildlife coexistence in the SKROUA transboundary area

Interreg VI-A NEXT Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine Programme
Project enhances biodiversity and sustainable development in the transboundary region of Slovakia, Romania, Ukraine and beyond by securing adequate natural habitats and fostering viable human-wildlife coexistence in the cross-border local communities through collaboration, inclusive co-design, and implementation of effective tools that ensure resilient ecosystems.

Impact Pathway

The project will contribute to informing policy at local, national, and cross-border levels in Romania, Ukraine, and Slovakia. This is planned to be achieved through the implementation and testing of human–wildlife conflict prevention instruments (e.g., electric fences, iron cages, fox lights), as well as the operationalisation of intervention units.

What Can Be Reused from This Project (capitalisation filter – expected potential)
