Impact Pathway
Tackled an urgent challenge
When flash floods, wildfires, or violent storms hit, volunteer fire brigades along the Hungarian-Slovak border often lacked the tools and coordination to respond effectively. Communities were vulnerable, and help sometimes came too late. The project brought them together, equipped them with modern tools, and trained them to act as one team. Now, volunteers stand ready—connected, skilled, and resilient—to protect lives across borders.

Influenced policy
One of the key outcomes of a project financed under the Interreg Romania–Hungary Programme – the development of e-learning modules on safety, security, and machine handling – has been integrated into this initiative as well, ensuring that the same protocol can be applied across the cross-border area of Hungary, Slovakia and Romania.
